Speaker Series – Lee County Sheriff’s Office Autism Initiative

Join us as we continue our monthly speaker series focused on building understanding, access, and belonging for individuals with different abilities! This presentation, led by Captain Richard Castellon, will discuss the new partnership between Family Initiative and the Lee County Sheriff’s Office. This collaboration is designed to improve law enforcement interactions for individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities by providing real-time support. Representatives will also be onsite to help families register for the voluntary Special Persons Registry Database, ensuring deputies have important information to better support their loved ones in the event of an emergency.
