Family Initiative’s St. Petersburg location provides children and families involved in the child‑welfare system with a welcoming place to connect with support, resources, and guidance. Our team takes an individualized, compassionate approach to helping families strengthen connections, navigate challenges, and access services that support their goals.

In partnership with local child‑welfare agencies, we offer trauma‑responsive caregiver education grounded in Trust‑Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), giving foster parents and kinship caregivers practical tools to support their child’s emotional and behavioral needs. Caregivers learn how to apply TBRI principles in daily routines, building confidence and creating nurturing, structured environments where children feel safe and supported.

Our in‑home services provide a deeper level of personalized care, with clinicians partnering directly with caregivers to assess needs, model evidence‑based strategies, and strengthen skills in real time. This hands‑on support helps families create stable, healing home environments and make meaningful progress right where life happens—at home.
